Hello!
We have numerous things going on today.
First, if you are able to continue working on what we were working on last Friday, please do so. We were loading images and writing captions onto Castro Copy.
Second, today we are going to dive into podcasting, using the program Garage Band. After we discuss it in class, here are the questions I'd like you do answer.
1. What is news?
2. Why do we focus on the "so what," "who cares" elements of news?
3. What is one story/idea you'd like to write about or take pictures of, and why?
Objectives:
Students will work with their photography, looking at the elements of photography, editing their photography in iPhoto, write captions and post online.
Students will explore the program Garage Band, using podcasting as a way to verbally discuss and answer the questions.
Behavior Objectives:
Students will work quietly on their tasks.
Students will appropriately discuss the topics and news items they are working on.
