High School Journalism

1. Find three high school online news websites. Do a google search for "high school newspapers" or click here for hsj.org.

2. Read articles and look at the pictures.

3. Compare and Contrast: In a Word document, list three things that are different than your website (listed below) and three things that are similar.

• Borman Broadcast
• Cartwright Cougar Community
• Castro Cougar Courier
• Downs Diamondback Dispatch
  
• Harris Hawk Headlines
  

Do this for each site. (At the end of today, you should have nine differences and nine similarities)

4. Use full sentences and correct grammar when listing similarities and differences.

5. Castro students, email me your answers using your gaggle accounts. Borman and Cartwright students use Word to write your assignment and be sure to SAVE. Click on File, then Save.

Objectives:
I will be able to analyze the similarities and differences of my stories and writing versus the writing and stories of high school journalists.

I will determine how many different schools can be very much alike.
